Birds fly away. A dance floor reveals itself in the sky. A choreography takes shape. Dozens of birds form a single body, moving and changing shape with every flap of their wings. Suddenly, a deafening sound tears through the sky. The airport is done. So is the dancing. A metal bird devours the sky, leaving behind a lingering silence.
This project originates in Vjosë-Nartë, a protected landscape on the coast of Albania, where an airport is currently under construction. An ecological disaster for the profit of tourism. This site is a key place for over 200 nesting and migrating bird species, 70 of which are endangered.
